Ren had been penning stories from soldiers and from that third interview, he had fallen in love. Alex and her brother had enlisted, along with Clarissa who volunteered as a nurse. He hadn’t much coin in his pocket but he had dreams of making it big. Ren had been a journalist and aspiring songwriter. He’s flung back to a past, a war-torn country. Something about Ren’s bright worry-free grin makes his heart lurch painfully, bringing a sense of loss. Ren smiles, stretches his arms out and shouts, “I’m king of the world! Get it? From Titanic?” He feels safe –something he sorely missed. Being this close, a pungent scent of pinewood and smoke is enchanting. I can’t help anybody, I’m like, always sick of people tellin’ me that I screw up everything. Those visions,” Ren’s eyes glaze over with substantial fear. Holstering the gun, the blond jaunts over to Jonas. “Are we really? That was true until the ghosts showed up.” “Yeah but it’s better than being defenseless.” Thanks,” Jonas cursed the blush burning his face. But he’s surprised when Ren shrugs and says, “You’re strong you look like some badass drifter.” The quiet teen mistakenly took that as an insult. I know not to have my finger on the trigger. “Do you even know anything about gun safety? How to handle a firearm? Or,” he crossed his arms, his cigarette dangling from his pursed lips. But she tells them to wait in the tower in case Clarissa (Ren scoffs at this, he’d rather deal with the ghosts!) or Nona shows up. The two insisted on going with her because of all the crazy paranormal shit they’ve run into.
